This living room was in need of a refresh. After an unfortunte water leak from above the owner of this lovely property got in touch for help.

Long narrow living rooms are always a design dilemma for clients and as with most, this room had unused space. The TV was in the top corner by the window and all seating cosied up nearby, which had resulted in a clear line across the room, from the door, diving the space in two.

Replanning the space we shifted everything down the room by creating bespoke joinery either side of the fireplace which moved the TV to the middle of the room. The radiator in the bay window was moved to the side, allowing space for additional seating for when the family visit. By centering the television the new sofa became more central to the room and the coveted Ekornes chair and stool moved into the previously unused space, giving the owner a prime TV viewing spot from his favorite seat.

Taking inspiratation from the garden and the beauty of the South Downs National Park has resulted in a cosy, inviting living room for all the family and grandchildren to enjoy together.
